Owner and Chef Alex Deng is a first-generation Chinese/Cantonese
American who grew up in the vibrant and diverse state of
California. Moving to New York a decade ago, Alex continued to
blend his Cantonese heritage with his American upbringing,
creating a unique perspective that he now shares with you.
With a background in Food Science and fifteen years of experience
in the food industry, Alex brings a unique and deep understanding
of flavors and traditions. His passion for connecting with people
and making them smile drives everything he does. He uses skills
and experiences to connect with others and spread joy through the
universal language of food.

Cooking classes
We will be cooking food together, from scratch, then sharing a
meal together. The menu can be catered according your interests.
I'll be explaining the culture and history behind each dish along
with the science behind each task. Afterwards, we'll share the meal
together and take the opportunity to answer any questions. This is
truly a unique experience that helps to take something from the
unknown to the known. Each class is approximately 3 hours.
I want my guests to feel welcome in my home and leave
comfortable and confident with cooking Cantonese food. My hope
is that they truly enjoy their experience and would recommend it
to their friends and family as well.
